1. General

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2) and the Attorneys Act. As an attorney I am bound by professional secrecy, which continues to apply after the representation ends.

2. What data is processed

  • Contact form data: name, e-mail address, telephone number (if provided) and the content of your message.
  • Data you send by e-mail or provide by telephone in connection with your matter.
  • Technical server data: IP address, access time, browser type — collected by the hosting provider in log files for the operation and security of the website.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • Replying to your enquiry — your consent or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
  • Providing legal services — performance of the engagement contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Operation and security of the website — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Retention

Enquiry data that does not lead to an engagement is kept for a maximum of 12 months. Client data is retained for the period required by the rules governing the legal profession and by tax legislation (as a rule 10 years after the matter is closed). Server log files are kept for a maximum of 30 days.

5. Disclosure to third parties

Personal data is never sold and is not disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed to:

  • the website hosting provider and the e-mail provider (contractual processors established in the EU),
  • courts, state authorities and other parties to proceedings, where necessary for the representation,
  • the accounting service, for invoicing purposes.

6. Cookies

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies or browser local storage required for the site to function (for example, remembering that you have dismissed the cookie notice). No analytics, profiling or advertising cookies are used, and there are no social media plugins. Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies.

The map on the Contact page is loaded from Google servers (Google Maps). When the map is displayed, your IP address is transmitted to Google, which may also process the data outside the European Union and may set its own cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data and to request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Send requests to info@odvetnica-rejec.si.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana.

8. Security

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to client data is restricted and documentation is kept in accordance with the rules on attorney–client privilege.

9. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page applies.
